PRIVACY STATEMENT

Lone Oak First Baptist Church (Lone Oak FBC) is committed to protecting the personal information of our members and those who participate in our ministries. As such, we establish this privacy policy in regards to membership records, enrollments, registrations, and personal information collected in person or on our web site. Please read this statement so you will have a full understanding of how we use the information you provide to us. By participating in these activities, you indicate your understanding and acceptance of this policy.

Personal Information Collected

Lone Oak FBC collects information from, but not limited to:

membership applicants when they come forward in services; those who join Sunday School / Life Group classes, Bible study classes, sports programs, preschool and other ministry programs;
those who register in person or online for church sponsored events or mission trips;
applicants for scholarships, benevolence, and other assistance programs;
those requesting to use LoneOakFBC facilities for personal or organizational use;
contractors and employees for both temporary and permanent positions.


The information collected most often for members and enrollments consists of name, address, birth date and/or age, home and/or cell phone numbers, and e-mail address. Family information may also be requested if it is pertinent to the particular application/enrollment. Job status and employer information are optional.

Certain application processes which require governmental reporting, insurance tracking, and background or security checks may also require additional personal information such as Social Security numbers, license information, passport information, employment or financial information. Examples of such applications include employment, vehicle operation, childcare and/or preschool positions, mission trips, or volunteer work which requires civil authority approval.

Special medical requirements, emergency contact information, guardianship or parental rights information may be required when underage children are enrolled in certain programs.

Bank, Debit and/or Credit Card information may be collected when any of these instruments are used to make or receive payments and/or donations.

In all circumstances, no more information is collected than is deemed necessary to safely and legally administer the program or transaction for which a particular application is made.

Information Use

Lone Oak FBC is the sole owner of all information collected in the execution of our ministries and programs. Lone Oak FBC does not sell, rent, or trade personally identifiable information to anyone. Lone Oak FBC does not disclose collected information to others unless it is specifically required to complete the program, event, or transaction for which the application was made.

Lone Oak FBC uses the personal information provided to maintain a church-wide record system of enrollment, attendance and program administration; to verify membership status at Lone Oak FBC (letters); to facilitate communication among those members who wish to participate; to minister to the needs of our members and the community; and to provide and promote opportunities for service and worship.

Lone Oak FBC uses personal information provided, including Bank, Debit and/or Credit Card information to complete transactions used to make or receive payments and/or donations. Personal information may be provided to contracted third-party agents is as necessary to complete desired transactions. Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policies of all third-party transaction providers are reviewed and approved by Lone Oak FBC.

Storage and Security

Lone Oak FBC secures all information collected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Information that may be stored electronically is maintained on computer servers located on our facilities or with agents under contract to Lone Oak FBC in controlled, secure environments, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure and with limited access. Information that may be stored in hard copy is maintained by the administrative employee responsible for its collection and use.

Website

Lone Oak FBC may collect information via our websites and/or other sites under contract with us for the purposes of:

  • maintaining the accuracy of Lone Oak FBC membership records;
  • registering for events and programs of Lone Oak FBC;
  • payment of event fees, tithes and donations;
  • communicating with our members, families and the community.

For all purposes of information collection, our web sites are an extension of the Lone Oak FBC Offices, staff and employees and adheres to all facets of this Privacy Policy.

Lone Oak FBC’s website and other sites we contract with may use electronic “cookies” to facilitate website operation and maintain security while you interact with our online facilities. Cookies may also be used to identify a user’s DEVICE for the purpose of tracking interaction with our online facilities. Cookies are not used to store or communicate personal information.

Lone Oak FBC’s website also tracks the activities to the various pages and features via log files maintained by our web providers. The log files allow statistics to be gathered concerning web usage. The only personally identifiable information within these log files is your ISP’s assigned IP Address. Without a court order to your ISP, the IP Address may only be used to identify your city, state and country.

Personal Information Online

Personal information that may be accessible via facilities on our website is restricted via usernames and passwords for your privacy and security. The password for access to online information is completely under your control and is unknown and unobtainable by anyone else. Each user may control what, if any, of the information stored online is accessible by other authorized users.

Changes to this Statement
